Tulip season

Tulip season has arrived—and we can’t wait to share it with you!

After a few years of trials, we are ready to open our farm for a you-pick tulip season. You won’t yet find a full field of colorful blooms, but we do hope that you’ll enjoy the extra opportunity to soak in the beauty.

Here’s how it works:

When you arrive, you’ll be able to make your choice of tulips in varying shades. Take your time—each tulip has its own personality. Select your flowers for their color and how open they are. If you’re looking to enjoy them for days to come, choose the ones that are still closed but beginning to show their hues.

To pick, reach down to the base of the flower and gently pull upward. Most flowers will come up with the bulb attached—don’t worry, that’s encouraged! The longer stem adds beauty and flexibility when arranging your flowers. If the flower breaks off from the bulb, that’s okay too—it’s perfect for enjoying right away.

Once you’ve gathered your bouquet, we’ll help you wrap your blooms, whether you’re taking them home for yourself or gifting them to someone else. There’s nothing quite like handing someone a bunch of fresh tulips you picked yourself—it is personal, thoughtful, and real.

Pricing:

  • $2 per stem

  • $1 per stem for season pass holders

  • No minimum—pick as few or as many as you’d like

Tips for keeping your tulips fresh:

If you’re saving your tulips for a later date, we recommend choosing flowers that are still closed, attached to the bulbs, and just beginning to show color. Wrap them in paper with the bulbs on, and store them vertically in a cool, dark place—a fridge works well, especially away from produce. You can also trim the stems and store them in water in the fridge if you’d prefer a ready-to-enjoy bouquet.

Wondering about the bulbs?

You’re welcome to take them with you! While they’re not likely to bloom for a few years, planting them can be a sweet little project. The bulbs will send up green foliage, and though they may not flower right away, they’re still a reminder of your time in the tulip field—and a promise of beauty to come.

We can’t wait to welcome you to the farm. Come for the tulips, stay to connect, and leave with your hands full of color.

With heart,

Brad and Stacie- Your friends at the farm
